ABOUT TONY'S

Antonio (Tony) Ruiz is the CEO and founder of Tony’s Barbeque and Steaks Tony absolutely loves the art of making delicious barbeque, and has given his life to it. Throughout the 1980s, and into the mid-1990s, Tony spent 15 years honing his craft at a local BBQ restaurant in Houston. Shortly after a corporate buyout, Tony went to work for a small, family owned restaurant. In 1994, Tony bought out the place and created the first Tony’s Barbecue and Steaks restaurant, located in Baytown, Texas. Continuing to practice his BBQ craft, Tony would go on to develop four secret recipes – recipes that make Tony’s barbeque stand out and keep customers coming back for more:

From the very beginning, Tony based his menu concept on fresh, quality ingredients and proper cooking techniques with no shortcuts. That thinking continues to be the foundation not only for Tony’s pork ribs and brisket (slow-cooked 12 hours over South Texas hickory wood), not only his USDA prime steaks (never frozen), but extending down the menu, all the way to the mouth-watering homemade rolls and jalapeno cheese bread.

Tony’s Barbeque and Steaks menu stands out from the rest of the barbeque crowd – here you find, in addition to the world-class hickory-smoked pork ribs and brisket, the highest quality rib eye and T-bone steaks, a fantastic chicken fried steak, stuffed baked potatoes (perfect for lunch) – even quail. Oh, and the delicious cobblers and pies are homemade, too.

BASED ON HARD WORK AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

With this kind of quality on the menu, and great service to match, Tony’s business began to take off: a second location (Seabrook, Texas) opened in 2000; and a third in 2003 (Mt. Belvieu, Texas)
