"Probably the best BBQ brisket I’ve had here in Houston. It even rivals Rudy’s for quality and taste. I bought 5 pounds (yes, 5) and took it back to the office -- the guys destroyed that tray in under 30 minutes, along with the sauce. All of them were begging for more -- and I told them they have to buy their own crack now. And I showed them where :) The brisket is smoked just right, with that nice pink ring and well.. It’s just heaven for your taste buds. The sauce is smokin’ too, with just a bit of spice to it – it’s really good! Not sure who Tony is, but he’s got it goin’ on! And just to make sure, I’ve been there 3 times now :) and every time that brisket has been spot on!”


 

"This was my first time in Texas and didn't have a lot of time to find BBQ. I found Tony's was only a couple of blocks from my hotel so I thought I would try it. Boy was I surprised at how amazing it was. I got the Brisket/Ribs combo with fries and coleslaw. The brisket was incredibly fresh (considering they were about to close) and the ribs were tender and meaty. Fries were great, slaw was also great. Again, for everything to be so fresh 15 minutes before closing was impressive. The manager was who took my order (I think his name was Frank) and was a great guy. Asked me where I was from, what I was doing in town and really seemed to care about his restaurant. Great experience that I would HIGHLY recommend and can't wait to get back.”


 

"Always get great service - been coming here ever since it opened. Get a 2-meat plate for dinner and a sliced beef sandwich to take for next day lunch. Turkey is fantastic too and so are the ribs. Lots of meat for the price."


 

"Second time here and its once again, real good. Had the turkey sandwich special. Turkey had excellent flavor, moist but not wet. Side order of green beens were flavorful and not too soggy. Coleslaw was acceptable.....average even. I happen to like coleslaw with a fair amount of seasoning/flavor, and this didn't do it for me. Prices good, service good, food above average....mostly."

"This place users to be about customer service weather it is done in or call on. Not any more. Called for almost 30 minutes and no answer and call goes to voicemail. I do not recommend a place that can not address and maintain something as simple as a phone. So very disappointed!."

"First visit was a Friday night at 5PM. Very empty place. Great service, friendly staff!! I liked the cleanliness and menu variety. Unfortunately, the food was really lacking in taste... the dirty rice was a little dry, the cole slaw lacking flavor, brisket was a little dry. As long as there is another BBQ place, we won't be choose Tony's in La Porte."

Unfortunately, the food was really lacking in taste... the dirty rice was a little dry, the cole slaw lacking flavor, brisket was a little dry. As long as there is another BBQ place, we won't be choose Tony's in La Porte."

"This place is set up like all the other BBQ places around, quick service and a decent menu selection. Very friendly!

I came for lunch and got the two meat plate with ribs and brisket. The brisket was a bit dry, the ribs were about average. The flavors were generic.

Not a bad option for lunch, but nothing special. These places are a dime a dozen."

"I like my meat with the least amount of fat as possible ...and this place does a great job with my turkey slices. Drizzle some of their house bbq sauce on top and you have your almost perfect meal to get you through the rest of your work day.

They serve other meat of course: ribs, chopped briskets, sliced briskets, and chicken. You cannot forget about the sides! I like their cream corn. They also have mixed veggies, dirty rice, french fries, and other sides that I cannot remember right now.

It's a nice environment to dine in with your co workers or family members. They have a toppings bar where you can add onions, jalapenos, pickles, and bbq sauce to your entree."

"This was my second time eating here and it was just as good the second time as the first! I wanted a chopped beef baked potato, but they had run out of the ones already made at 12:30pm and I would have had to wait 30 min for a fresh one, so I passed and ordered a chopped beef sandwich. This is the kind of BBQ you will miss if you ever leave Texas and try and find BBQ!!"

"The steak here was among the best I have ever had. Don't pass up the chance to order it just because it's a BBQ joint. I had BBQ and my daughter had the steak. I liked the BBQ, but I couldn't get over how great her steak was. Plus, I was impressed of how perfectly rare they got her steak. When you find a place that can cook a steak to order correctly, it is worth it's weight in gold."
